Alyson Hallett grew up in Street, Somerset. For the past year she has been living in Falmouth where she has been poet-in-residence in Exeter University’s Geography Department.  This residency was funded by the Leverhulme Trust.  Alyson also completed a practice-based PhD last year in poetry: her research area was Geographical Intimacy: relationships between poet, poetry and place.  Alyson has a poem carved into Milsom Street pavement in Bath and she runs an international poetry-as-public-art-project, The Migration Habits of Stones.  Alyson has also published fiction and radio and television drama.
