Angela Dove poet

Angela Dove was born in Leeds, West Yorkshire, and now lives in East London.

Angela Dove trained as an actor and theatre designer and has lectured in Theatre Design at Middlesex University. She has also worked for The Poetry Society as an information officer, which involved assisting with the administration of the National Poetry Competition and instigating and running the first Poetry Surgeries. Currently Angela Dove is visiting lecturer at the Cass Business School, City of London and associate member and trainer for The Chartered Institute of Library and information Professionals, heaving worked with the Museums and Archives Council, Swedish Association for Information Professionals and a two year programmed with Heritage Link Embracing Difference.

Angela Dove founded Cats Night Out, an acclaimed series of reading events by women poets. In 2003, the Royal Society of Literature invited established poets to introduce the work of an “up and coming” poet in a project Sorcerers’ Apprentices. Angela Dove was chosen by U A Fanthorpe and R V Bailey and read her work at the Royal Society.
