Cheryl Moskowitz trained as an actor and storyteller and was an associate tutor at Sussex University,
teaching on the MA in Creative Writing and Personal Development. Cheryl Moskowitz co-founded LAPIDUS (National Association for Literary Arts and Personal Development), drawing on her training as a psychodynamic counsellor. She works with the education department of the Poetry Society and uses writing in different community settings including hospitals, hospices, day care centres, prisons and works in schools. She is a longstanding member of the National Association for Writers in Education.

Cheryl Moskowitz’s poems for young children were featured in the BBC CBeebies Poetry Pie and on BBC A Bear Behind Me. Can it be about Me was selected by the Poetry Book Society Children’s Poetry  Bookshelf as their choice for Spring term 2010. She was a founding member, with Lindsay MacRae and Jeremy Silver, of the performance poetry group LIP.
