Kim Lasky has taught poetry and fiction at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, led workshops in schools, adult education and healthcare support groups. She has worked with artists and musicians and produced a number of poetry films. Her interest in using creative writing in innovative ways has led to her involvement in a number of interdisciplinary projects, including Motion in Poetry, which used poetry to help engineering students learn about a complex set of equations.
