Born in Kent to a British mother of Cornish descent, and an immigrant Indian (Lepcha) father, she grew up in the Medway towns and Isle of Thanet, moved to Somerset, and now lives in Devon. She writes poems for page and for stage and works as a writer in education. She has a BA Humanities, Dip Literature and Creative writing from the Open University.
